An Ipswich takeaway is planning to be the first to bring viral TikTok burritos to the town.

Raschad Walton, owner of Cheeky Cow Burger on Upper Orwell Street, will launch the giant Yorkshire pudding wraps as part of a new business venture.

The burritos are a Sunday roast in a wrap and have gone wild on TikTok, inspired by the viral Camden company Yorkshire Burrito, based in Camden Market.

It will be sold from Mr Walton's new business venture called Proof of Pudding in the next month.

The food is from the same kitchen as Cheeky Cow and will be available on delivery platforms.

Cheeky Cow Burger sells American burgers and loaded fries and launched from a burger van in Leiston at the beginning of 2022.

Mr Walton decided to set up the business in Leiston after a friend who was a business owner in the town said it needed another takeaway as the options were limited.

The Cheeky Cow trailer launched from the car park of Nichols Family Butchers, with an agreement that they would only stock meat from the butchers who would allow them to trade outside.

They then decided to expand and move to Ipswich in January and sign on with Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Mr Walton, who is from Saxmundham, said: “Ipswich doesn't have the giant Yorkshire pudding wraps yet and we want to be the first ones to introduce it.

“We saw it on TikTok and I thought it was an excellent idea because English people don't actually have our own traditional takeaway food other than fish and chips.

“Traditionally, we have our Sunday roast as English people. We want people to get a roast dinner – it's clean, not full of salt and fats – delivered at any time of the week and have it conveniently wrapped up so you can walk down the street with it, instead of having it on a heaped plate.”
