A Kesgrave teenager who was given a suspended prison sentence last year after he was caught with 55 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin has been jailed after breaching the order.
The wraps were discovered after Alex Houston was strip searched by police on two occasions following his arrest for suspected drug offences in October 2021 and February last year.
Police officers saw four men leaving a property in Ipswich with links to drug dealing and cuckooing on October 12, 2021 and after entering the property they found Houston inside along with scales and cannabis, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
He was taken to the police station and following a strip search, 45 drug wraps - 31 containing crack cocaine and 14 containing diamorphine - were discovered in his buttocks.
An iPhone belonging to Houston was also found at the property and a number of messages related to drug dealing were discovered when it was analysed.
Houston, who was 17 at the time, was released on police bail for those offences but on February 4 last year, officers who attended the Stoke Bridge skatepark in Ipswich found him in possession of a Nokia phone and four drug wraps.
He was again taken to the police station and strip searched, and a further 10 wraps of diamorphine were found in his buttocks.
When the Nokia was examined further messages relating to drug supply were found and showed Houston was selling directly to users, the court heard.
Houston, now 19, of Heath View, Kesgrave, admitted three charges of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and in April last year he was given a two-year prison sentence suspended for 18 months, 200 hours unpaid work, a 40-day rehabilitation activity requirement and a six month trail monitoring requirement.
On Tuesday, he admitted breaching the suspended sentence order and was ordered to serve 12 months of the jail term.
