The owners of a popular cafe on the outskirts of Ipswich have thanked all their customers as they announced plans to hand over the reins of the business.
Clare and Scott Forrest founded The Milk Shed in Sproughton in April 2021.
It has proved a hit with diners, serving up dishes including crispy and buttery Nordic waffles, mackerel and poached eggs on sourdough, Smørrebrød (a traditional open sandwich), Skagenröra (prawn salad), meatballs and herrings.
In a post on Facebook, the couple wrote: "We would like to say a huge thank you to all our loyal and lovely customers and team for supporting us through good and bad times over the last two and a half years.
"It’s bittersweet to say we will be handing the reins over to new owners, the wonderful Lucy and Matt this Summer.
"We have loved creating the Milk Shed. We feel full of emotion but now feel it’s time to move on."
The owner's last day at the cafe will be on Sunday, August 13, and the new owners will reopen the following week with an exact date to be confirmed soon.
