An application has been made to expand and convert a house in Ipswich into an eight-bedroom home.
The house, which is situated at 196 St Helen's Street in Ipswich, is currently used as a six-bed HMO (house in multiple occupation) and a flat.
With these plans, the flat will be abolished, and it will be converted into an eight-bed HMO.
All bedrooms would come with an en-suite and there would be a communal kitchen and dining area.
Should the application be approved by Ipswich Borough Council, the developer behind the schemes said it would "support the government's objective of significantly boosting the supply of homes".
Planning documents added: "It is important that a sufficient amount and variety of land can come forward where it is needed, that the needs of groups with specific housing requirements are addressed and that land with permission is developed without unnecessary delay."
The application goes on to state that the proposal is a "wholly deliverable project" and it is "robustly supported at a local and national level offering a truly sustainable scheme".
