A Kesgrave primary school has been praised by Ofsted for its ‘outstanding’ personal development and received a ‘good’ overall rating.
During the recent inspection, Heath Primary School proved that the students feel "very happy and safe" there, according to the education watchdog.
The report also praised the school’s ambitious curriculum, which is inclusive for all pupils, as well as the leaders’ vision that school is a place where "learning has no limitations".
The inspection verified that teachers act quickly to identify the needs of students with special educational needs or disabilities.
The report continues that school leaders place a very high priority on pupils' personal development and prepare them for future lives beyond school.
David Whatley, Heath Primary School’s headteacher, said that everybody at the school is "delighted" to have received the ‘outstanding’ grade for personal development.
Mr Whatley added: "We are a school that is passionate about preparing the children for long-term success in all areas of their lives by developing character, confidence, and resilience, and it was great to receive recognition from Ofsted for all the hard work we have put in over the years.
"We have a very ambitious curriculum at the school that celebrates the arts, humanities and sport, whilst also achieving fantastic academic results – exemplified by our best ever Key Stage Two SATs results this year.
"Learning goes beyond the classroom: the children really enjoy all of the school trips and extra-curricular clubs we have on offer, and we are absolutely blessed to have amazing grounds, which allows outdoor learning to be a key part of our curriculum offer for children across the whole school.
"Ever ambitious for our children, we are now working on making those small steps that will give us 'outstanding' in all areas when Ofsted visits us again in four years' time."
