Tennis fans will have a chance to watch the Wimbledon finals for free at Ipswich Cornhill this weekend.
The screening will be one of the numerous activities that are taking place in the town centre on Saturday and Sunday, July 15 and 16.
The event, arranged by Ipswich Central in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council, is free to attend, with no tickets required.
Sophie Alexander-Parker, Ipswich Central CEO, said: "Deckchairs will be out for the public to use, and everyone is welcome to bring picnics and camping chairs.
"There will be an array of entertainment and activities over the weekend that will keep everyone entertained."
It is believed that Ipswich Cardinal Thomas Wolsey put together the winning combination of ‘strawberries and cream’ and that the dish was served at Hampton Court whilst watching Real Tennis - this is why there are strawberries and cream during Wimbledon.
As part of the Thomas Wolsey 550 celebrations, strawberries and cream will be available during the event.
Ipswich Borough Council leader Neil MacDonald added: "Who knew that strawberries and cream were invented by Ipswich’s greatest son, Cardinal Wolsey?
"Ipswich Central and our local councils are serving up a winning combination this weekend, bringing together Thomas Wolsey's legacy and the wonderful sport of tennis to Ipswich town centre."
