A 37-year-old Ipswich man has denied helping to run a county lines drug line.
Christopher Fenner was one of three people, including a Felixstowe man, who controlled the “J” line which supplied heroin and crack cocaine to local drug users, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Before the court on Monday (July 10) was Christopher Fenner of Brunswick Road, Ipswich.
He has pleaded not guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine with Mark Church, 45, of Brightwell Close, Felixstowe and another person between December 12 2021 and March 11 last year.
Fenner has also denied possessing £2,000 cash as criminal property on March 10 last year.
Matthew Bagnall, prosecuting told the court that Mark Church and another person had admitted being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine at an earlier hearing.
He alleged that Fenner and the other two men had jointly run the “J” drug line and had sent out bulk text messages to drug users advertising the sale of heroin and crack cocaine.
Mr Bagnall said that when Fenner was arrested in March last year he had £2,000 cash in his possession.
The trial continues.
