A popular coffee shop is set to celebrate 10 years of success.
Applaud Coffee, in St Peters Street, marks a decade in business on Wednesday, July 19, and has plenty planned to celebrate the occasion.
The courtyard garden will host three musicians throughout the day - Joe Lees, Simonedimusic, and Phoenix Jazz - and iced birthday biscuits will be handed out for free to the customers.
Hannah Huntly started the business with her sister, Beth Titchie, in 2013.
"We started it because there weren't many speciality coffee shops in Ipswich at the time," Ms Huntly said.
"We wanted to create a comfortable coffee environment where we served good drinks and homemade cakes."
Over time their offering has grown and they now host a range of evening events, including a monthly drawing class that features different local creators.
"Recently we have held a marbling workshop and we have a fused glass class in the coming days," Ms Huntly explained.
Whilst they did open another site, it closed just before Christmas.
"We loved our original site and decided to focus on that," Ms Huntly explained.
"It is a grade II listed building, it has a beautiful courtyard garden, and our neighbours are all independent businesses, so we really feel part of a community."
Ultimately, it is the customers who have helped shape the business and grow the friendly community around the coffee shop.
Ms Huntly said: "We have got customers who have been with us from the start.
"There is a lot more to the business than just the day-to-day because of the customers."
Applaud Coffee is open Tuesday - Saturday between 8.30am and 4pm.
Their courtyard garden is dog-friendly and tickets for their drawing clubs are available to purchase through their website, applaud-coffee.co.uk.
They celebrate their 10th birthday on July 19.
