The director of a fire-stricken gym and spa says the business will be back in weeks rather than months after a devastating blaze in its pool area.
In the two weeks since the fire at Riverhills Health Club and Spa in Bramford, staff have been working hard to get back up and running.
About a quarter of the building was destroyed during the early morning fire on Friday, June 23, but crews managed to save the main part of the property.
Dave Courteen, the managing director of Mosaic Group, which runs Riverhills, said that it will rather take weeks than months for the part of the centre to reopen.
He added the main aim is now to get power restored, initially through generators, before the facility can get back onto the main utility network.
In 2022, the gym and day spa had a £2.3million revamp.

Mr Courteen added: "We’re now focusing on planning a programme for the staff in terms of delivering them some training and also sending them out into the community.
"They'll be doing some free treatments at care homes, and we're also looking at creating Riverhills on the road.
"We're going to offer companies the chance for our fitness instructors and therapists to come out and do a wellness day in the workplace.
"We're going to get out and about and keep the staff occupied as well as spread the word about what we do, so when we do reopen, there's a potential of new people finding out about Riverhills and wanting to join us."
The boss added that when the electricity comes back into the club from a new distribution board, the majority of the building can reopen as it remained undamaged.

This includes the gym, changing rooms, hair salon, and spa, while the pool will have to be rebuilt.
The area that burned down is going to be boarded up from the rest of the building.
While the members wait for the club to reopen, Riverhills staff start a programme of 39 online classes a week from Friday, July 6.
