A man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after falling from a bridge onto the A14.
Emergency services were called to the incident on the B1115 bridge over the A14 in Stowmarket at about 3.45pm on Thursday following reports that a man had fallen from the bridge.
The man was taken by air ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital having sustained life-threatening injuries where he remains in a critical condition.
Both directions of the A14 were closed between junctions 49 and 50, and the B1115 was also closed between Mortimer Road and Thorney Green Road, as emergency services responded to the incident.
All restrictions were lifted at approximately 5:15pm.
