Two statues will no longer be coming to the town in the summer, due to issues with settling on a location.
In March, it was revealed that the Knife Angel, made up of 100,000 knives, and the Anti-Violence Bee, made of knives and firearms, were going to come to Ipswich in August and September respectively.
That is now no longer the case, with neither coming to the town centre due to Ipswich Borough Council being "unable to secure a suitable location."
A spokesperson for Ipswich Borough Council said: "Although we won't host the statue, we will be focusing on reducing knife crime across the summer."
The Knife Angel travels around the country, spending a month highlighting the negative effects of violent behaviour.
The spokesperson continued: "We will continue to develop the diversionary activity programme with partners to provide opportunities for people to get involved throughout August, and to meet and talk to partners such as Councils Community Safety Team and Suffolk Police, as well as community group workshops involving football, boxing, street dance, first aid and health and wellbeing."
