Ipswich students visited Parliament to deliver the Suffolk Day proclamation in Westminster Hall in front of all seven Suffolk MPs.
Ipswich MP Tom Hunt welcomed pupils from Chantry Academy to the Houses of Parliament to mark the celebration on Wednesday.
Mr Hunt said that Ipswich students "did a great job" representing Suffolk on this important day.
Speaking on the day, he said: "It was great to welcome students from Chantry Academy to Parliament today to do a proclamation to celebrate Suffolk Day in Westminster Hall with all Suffolk MPs present.
"Suffolk has so much to offer, and today is a day to recognise our great icons, attractions, landscapes, history and more.
"I am proud that it was Chantry students who did the proclamation, representing both Ipswich and Suffolk on this important day.
"They did a great job representing Suffolk and the amazing county we live in.
"I had the chance to do questions and answers with them after alongside a tour of Parliament. Happy Suffolk Day!"
