A discussion is set to be had over the future of a pub dating back to 1902 as to whether it will become a home.
Babergh District Council is to come together on Wednesday, June 28 to discuss whether The Queen's Head in Erwarton, near Ipswich, is to be converted into a residential dwelling.
The pub has been closed since 2009 and is a Grade II listed building.
Erwarton Parish Council has strongly objected to the application, with the council wanting to retain the pub as a community asset.
An action group has been set up to save the pub, with a member saying: "This is our pub. We don't want to lose it.
"This is our village and our pub. We care about it and do not want to lose the chance to have it reopen."
In the neighbouring village, Shotley Parish Council has recommended the approval of the plans however, claiming that retaining it as a pub was no longer financially viable, and it would be better if it was converted into a house.
