Jimmy's Farm has shared news that it has been hit by a 'devastating' burglary in which tools worth thousands were stolen from the wildlife park.
The Wherstead attraction revealed that, alongside the theft, vehicles were damaged and diesel was stolen from the site of their new build in the night on Monday, June 12.
In a Facebook post shared by staff, the farm said: "We are a community-focused business, hiring local people, and this has deeply upset our staff.
"Not only that, but it pushes back the deadline of our project and ultimately hinders our valuable conservation work and welcoming the animals that need our help.
"At a time where we have struggled to rebuild and recover since the pandemic, we have set our sights high with this new build and this setback really does affect us."
Jimmy's Farm and Wildlife Park is appealing to anyone with information on the burglary and vandalism to contact their team on enquiries@jimmysfarm.com or call Suffolk police.
