A picture has captured the extent of the damage caused to the A14 following a lorry crash this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident between Claydon and Beacon Hill at about 5.10am on Friday.

The road was closed for most of the day while emergency services attended the scene.

Following the incident, the driver of the lorry was arrested on suspicion of driving with excess drugs and possession of a controlled drug.

On Facebook, Needham Market Fire Station shared images from the scene which showed the extent of the damage caused as well as the scale of the emergency service response.

A second incident also happened at Stowmarket, with the eastbound carriageway closed for some time due to a four-vehicle crash.
