The family of a 47-year-old motorcyclist who died following a crash on the outskirts of Ipswich say his death has "left an enormous hole" in their hearts.
Emergency services, including the air ambulance, were called to the scene of the single-vehicle collision, on the B1077 near Witnesham, at about 1.45pm on Saturday, May 27.
The motorcyclist, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Pending formal proceedings, he has been named as Gavin Douglas from Ipswich.
Suffolk police has issued a tribute on behalf of the Douglas family.
It said: "Saturday, 27th May 2023, will forever be etched in our minds as the day we tragically lost our most beloved son and brother, Gavin.
"The magnitude of this loss has left an enormous hole in our hearts as he was a larger-than-life character in our family. Gavin's absence is deeply felt, and the love and longing for him are immeasurable.
"Throughout his life, we have always held immense pride in him. Family was everything to Gavin and the time we all spent together held a special place in his and our hearts.
"Gavin had a natural talent for mechanics alongside his lifelong passion for motorbikes and cars. Gavin was at his most happy on his bike or with his head under a bonnet covered in grease whilst he listened to his favourite tunes.
"We deeply mourn his loss and remember him as an integral part of our lives. He was the brightest of stars and we miss him terribly."
Officers are continuing to appeal for witnesses and anyone who may have information is asked to contact Suffolk police, quoting CAD 160 of May 27.
