The town is just days away from a multi-venue festival starting – here is your guide to everything you need to know ahead of the event.
Brighten the Corners Festival takes place on the coming Friday and Saturday and is hosted in five locations around Ipswich.
These are The Smokehouse, The Baths, the Corn Exchange, the Cornhill and the recently renovated St Stephen's Church.
The Cornhill is free for the public to attend, with the other venues requiring a festival wristband to enter.
The line-up has been fully announced, with a variety of music and acts on offer, meaning there is something for everyone.
Sadie Rycraft, marketing and communications officer at Brighten the Corners, said: "Across the weekend, Ipswich will see brilliant live music from every genre under the sun.
"It's going to be a brilliant weekend for everyone to enjoy."
As well as the music, there will also be food vendors on the Cornhill, an Adnams beer truck serving up a special branded Brighten the Corners lager and a zine workshop in Ancient House.
The Friday night headliners at the Corn Exchange are newly formed 86TVs, an indie rock band made up of the brothers from the Maccabees and a Stereophonics member, with Saturday headliners at the Corn Exchange being 2000's band The Go! Team.
Ian Parton, from The Go! Team, said: "It became an unwritten rule to give every gig everything.
"We've never hit Ipswich in all our 20 years so we are looking forward to it."
The event, formerly known as Sound City Ipswich, has previously held festivals in 2019 and 2021.
Brighten the Corners has partenered with many organisations to make the event possible, with the main festival partner being the University of Suffolk.
Other sponsors include Adnams, Suffolk New College, Arts Council England, Ipswich Borough Council and many other businesses.
Weekend and day tickets can be bought for a cheaper price before the festival begins.
