A popular bridalwear store that has provided dresses for thousands of Ipswich weddings is moving on to an 'exciting new chapter' in Little Blakenham.
Just a day Bridalwear has closed after 26 years on Norwich Road and will be reopening at its new location in a Grade II-listed barn on Saturday, June 10.
Owner Sharon Higgs, 58, said the final day at their shop next to Coe's was "really busy" and noted that everyone who came in bought a dress.
"Our exciting new chapter took away from the sadness really," she said.
"We've done thousands of weddings for Ipswich and the surrounding areas and loved our location on Norwich Road."
Mrs Higgs added that their previous store became iconic for its eye-catching window displays.
"I'm sad in a sense, because I've been in this industry for 30 years with 26 years of that at Norwich Road," she added.
"But, it's time for a change."
The Little Blakenham barn is becoming home to all three of Mrs Higgs' businesses - Just a day Bridalware, Brides of St Peters and Promloft - and will now be known as Broomvale Bridal Barns.
"There's a mezzanine for VIP appointments, and we have a modern barn attached to the main building as a separate prom and evening-wear space," said Mrs Higgs.

"It has its own parking and is less than a minute from the A14.
"We'll also be able to offer customers the chance to sit outside and a have a coffee while they're making their decisions."
Currently in the process of moving their dresses across to the new space, Broomvale Bridal Barns will open to the public on Saturday, June 10
