It is just under a month until the return of Ipswich's biggest free music festival and the full line up can now be revealed.

More than 50 acts will perform across six stages in Christchurch Park on Sunday, July 2.

Ipswich Borough Council received over 200 applications for acts to play in the event.

Last year's breaking event saw 26,500 people attend - the best attendance in its 33 year history.

The Mansion Stage is sponsored by Grapevine and the BBC Radio Suffolk stage features BBC Introducing Artists chosen by presenter Wayne Bavin.

Councillor Sophie Connelly, Ipswich Borough Council Portfolio Holder for Culture and Customers, says: “Thanks to all of the musical acts who applied to perform at this year’s event. The selection committee really enjoyed reviewing all the applicants and seeing the variety of talent including many homegrown names from our local community.

"With just over a month to go we’re excited to see the free event showcasing some of the best new and upcoming acts and artists performing in the heart of Ipswich.”
