A man who became involved in drug dealing to pay off a £10,000 debt to traffickers, a court has heard.

Twenty-three-year-old Enri Kadrija was stopped by police in Ipswich as he was delivering cocaine using customers’ postcodes and from records found on him they were able to work out that he’d already delivered drugs worth nearly £1,500 to 32 postcodes that day before he was stopped, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

The court heard the 23-year-old had being brought over to the UK by boat.

Jailing Kadrija for two years Judge Emma Peters described the postcode method of delivering drugs to customers as “almost like Deliveroo for drugs.”

Kadrija of Ash Grove, London, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine between February 14 and February 28 this year.

The court heard that when the uninsured car he was driving was stopped by police in Ipswich Kadrija had £305 cash and seven wraps of cocaine in his possession.

His phone was seized and was found to contain messages consistent with him being involved in the supply of drugs.

Peter Spary for Kadrija said he had arrived in the UK in August last year and the drug supply he was involved in was short lived.
