A preloved market is set to open at a new venue in Ipswich to help parents with the increasing costs of baby and children’s items.
The Mum2mum market initiative organised by Danielle Rogers aims to support people who struggle with the cost-of-living crisis and provide them with nearly new and preloved items for their little ones.
Ms Rogers has been running the monthly events since November 2021 with the help of her five-year-old daughter Katie.
She said: "Our aim is to give parents the opportunity to buy items for their children without having to spend a fortune, while recycling items that have barely been used. Good for the pocket and the planet.
"Our markets also give parents the chance to turn some of their preloved or outgrown items into cash."
With at least 20 stall holders at every Mum2mum market, there is a huge choice of baby and children’s items for sale.
All venues are indoors, and the sales draw a large crowd, with buyers queuing up to half an hour before the sale starts to get the best bargains.
Mum2Mum markets already have two well-established venues in Suffolk including Kesgrave Community Centre and Great Blakenham Village Hall, and is opening another one in Ipswich.
Ms Rogers added: "Now even more parents will have the opportunity to attend our market and save money as we launch a new venue at Inspire Suffolk on Lindbergh Road in Ipswich.
"What’s more, the first 100 buyers will receive a free gift from Childs Farm.
"Local parents can make lots of money with Mum2Mum markets; recently, one seller made over £500 at one event."
The first event at Inspire will take place on Sunday, May 14, from 2.30pm to 4.30pm.
Admission is £2 at the door, with kids entering for free.
During the last 30 minutes of every sale, entry is free.
Stalls for all the events can be booked online.
