A teen from Ipswich is set to release her first EP, just over a year since her music career started.
Chloe Spinks first did an open mic night on April 21, 2022, now, a year on, she is looking to release 'By Your Side' a five-track EP.
The 19-year-old student at Suffolk New College, will release five songs, all written and performed by herself, with songs dedicated to her friend who sadly passed away last year, to songs encouraging people to go and fulfil their potential.
She has performed four of the songs live before, at various locations such as BurySOUND and Christchurch Park Fireworks 2022.
She said: "I am very excited to release the EP.
"I only started taking music seriously about a year ago as I was doing gymnastics until then and found it difficult to do both."
As well as singing, Chloe can play the guitar, playing the instrument in the songs on the EP, with the piano being provided by Gabor Postma.
She has also released two songs previously, which has both received over 1,000 streams on Spotify.
Chloe lists musical influences such as Anne Marie, Mimi Webb and Suffolk's own, Ed Sheeran.
For the EP, which is set to be released on August 18, she is hoping to release merchandise associated with the album.
She said: "There's a lot to come from me over the next few months.
"I am performing at HMV Ipswich next month, as well as a gig at Three Wise Monkeys in Ipswich, Felixstowe Carnival and I have been offered a gig in London as well, but the date for that has not been announced."
Chloe's EP can be pre-saved on Spotify ahead of the release date in August.
