A trip to the beach wouldn't be complete without a stop for some fish and chips. 

So here are the best-rated places for fish and chips in five of Suffolk's seaside spots, according to Tripadvisor.

1. Felixstowe - Fish Dish Fish and Chips 

The Undercliff Road restaurant has been ranked the best place for fish and chips in Felixstowe.

A stones throw away from both the pier and the seafront Fish Dish is in a great location and items on the menu include scampi, sausages and haddock. 

As well as the sit down restaurant, Fish Dish also offers take aways. 

2. Southwold - Mr T's Fish and Chips 

Mr T's Fish and Chips have been described as "Southwold's finest fish and chips" by one happy customer on Tripadvisor. 

The fish and chip shop has outdoor seating so you can either enjoy your meal right outside or take a short stroll to the seafront and eat them on the beach. 

3. Aldeburgh - The Golden Galleon

The award-winning fish and chip shop is a great place to go when visiting Aldeburgh.

The Golden Galleon was ranked as the fourth-best place in Britain to visit if you are out on the coast by Master Chef judge and writer Grace Dent and chef Ainsley Harriet in an article in The Times.

Dent described The Golden Galleon as "the best fish and chip shop" in the Suffolk coastal town.

4. Dunwich - Flora Tearooms

A lovely place to visit for traditional fish and chips on the beach. 

Situated on the beach, Dunwich Flora Tea rooms is popular among locals and visitors to the area. 

The tearoom sells a variety of drinks and snacks as well. 

5. Lowestoft - Pakefield Plaice

Pakefield Plaice has been rated the best fish and chip shop in Lowestoft on Tripadvisor.

As well as all the classics the chippy also sells vegetarian and gluten free options. 

One reviewer said the fish was freshly cooked with "great" portions of chips.
