A familiar face has been revealed as the new landlord of a popular Ipswich pub.
It was announced in February that Red Oak Taverns had purchased the freehold of the Thomas Wolsey pub, which went on the market in July 2022.
The pub, in St Peter's Street, had been owned by father and son Dougie and Ben I‘Anson since 2011.
Damon Jeffrey, who previously ran the award-winning Freston Boot, is taking over as tenant.
“I’m really looking forward to taking on the pub with Red Oak Taverns," said Mr Jeffrey.
"We are going to be introducing some local real ales alongside a new drinks menu, live music nights and a quality food menu in the summer."
Graeme Bunn, property and acquisitions director for Red Oak Taverns, said: “As part of our acquisition programme we are on the look out for well located community pubs and The Thomas Wolsey pub is a great addition to our pub estate.
"It’s brilliant we have an experienced tenant as in Damon to take it over and develop this town centre pub.”
