Spring has officially come to Suffolk as a new colourful postbox topper appeared in Claydon.
Lisa Wylie, the serial crocheter who has been decorating her village with beautiful toppers for the past year, has this time exceeded everybody's expectations.
The mum-of-three from Claydon said she is "incredibly proud" of her spring decoration.
She added: "It felt like I was creating a piece of art, and was anxious about how it would be received by others as I love it so much.
"I have a love for garden birds. They were a shared interest I had with my Mum who passed away six years ago.
"In her last months, she had a bird table outside her window and took great pleasure in watching her little visitors.
"When I think of spring, the first thing that comes to mind is birds.

"I suffer from extreme anxiety, and there are days when I wouldn't be able to do the school run if I couldn't focus on the birds I can see and hear on my walk.
"It surprises me that at 42, there are still new species that I spot that I've never seen before.
"All the birds on my topper are regular visitors to my garden."
Mrs Wylie said that the inspiration came from the book 'Crochet Birds by Vanessa Mooncie' which she got herself for her birthday.
"Once I had made a few birds, I got to grips with the construction and was able to write my own patterns the book didn't contain.
"My biggest aim was to make the different species of birds easily recognisable.
"My favourite is the Robin, my Grandad has already requested him once I take it down."
Despite their small size, the birds take a long time to make, as they are made with fine cotton yarn and worked on tiny 2mm hooks.
Mrs Wylie added she is overwhelmed and immensely proud of all the comments she has been receiving on social media in regard to her toppers.
