A man from Ipswich is to undertake awareness and fundraising ventures for his niece after she was diagnosed with a rare disease.
Daryl Peck is to challenge himself by completing an ultramarathon and has gained more than £3,000 worth of prizes for a raffle.
He is doing all this for his niece Tiffany, who has been diagnosed with Rett Syndrome.
Tiffany, four, is believed to be just one of three people in Suffolk to have the syndrome.
Rett syndrome is a neurodevelopmental disorder which causes a slowing of development, loss of functional use of the hands and slowed brain and head growth.
Mr Peck, 30, said: "She's my little inspiration and she makes me the proudest uncle.
"She's such a happy and smiley girl and puts smiles on all our faces, so we knew the charity, Rett UK, would be so beneficial to her."
Tiffany is largely nonverbal due to the condition, and can only say a few words such as 'Hey Duggee', which is her favourite show.
Mr Peck added: "This raffle and run I am going to do is to really say thanks to the charity for the support and help they have given Tiffany and her family.
"Not just us though, but other families because I had never heard of this disease before and I know a lot of people haven't either."
The raffle will be a year-long venture, with prizes given away regularly, with those involved in with a chance to win anything including hotel vouchers, gift experiences and restaurant vouchers.
Mr Peck will also take part in the Endurance Suffolk Coastal Ultramarathon, which stretches 32.6 miles around the county, on October 14.
