A key junction of the A14 will be closed tonight as a month of work gets underway.
Junction 58 of the A14 connects the major Suffolk road to the A12 near Ipswich and the Orwell Bridge.
Between 8pm on Monday and 6am on Tuesday, the westbound exit slip road at this junction will be closed.
This is so National Highways can begin installing new park and ride signage along the road between junctions 50 and 59.
Tonight, traffic will be diverted up to junction 57 to exit and return on the A14.
Over the coming weeks, other stretches of road will also be closed overnight.
On Monday, April 3, the junction 55 westbound exit slip road will close.
Traffic will be diverted up to junction 56 to exit and return on the A14.
On Wednesday, April 5, junction 51 eastbound exit slip road will also close, with traffic diverted up to junction 52 to exit and return on the A14.
A statement on the National Highways website read: "To deliver this work safely, we need to close the road in phases.
Most of our work will be done with lane closures, however we occasionally need some full closures.
We are working with Suffolk Highways to ensure we coordinate our work and minimise disruption."
The work is set to be completed by Thursday, April 27.
Also on the A14, drivers are being urged to allow extra time to complete their journeys as work takes place in mid Suffolk.
