An Olivier award-winning playwright is stepping up to pen this year's Rock n Roll panto at the New Wolsey Theatre.
Following last year's successful production of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, audiences will join Dick Whittington and his Cat this year in panto land.
Panto will return to the New Wolsey Theatre from Thursday, November 23, to Saturday, January 20, 2024.
Behind this year's script is award-winning comedian, writer and composer, Vikki Stone who penned the Olivier winning Hey Duggee, which is soon heading to the Ipswich Regent.

She also made history as the first on-screen female musical director of a primetime entertainment show in the UK when she was musical director, pianist and band leader of the ITV Saturday night primetime show Romeo and Duet.

The theatre's chief executive and artistic director Douglas Rintoul will direct the show.
Mr Rintoul said: “It is such a privilege to take over the helm of the New Wolsey Theatre’s iconic and much-loved rock 'n' roll pantomime. Last year over 30,000 people came through the doors and I’m looking forward to reaching many more with Vikki Stone's joyous and sparky take on this traditional tale.

Audiences can expect to hear a number of classic hits in this year's production.
A number of accessible shows will be put on during the run, including audio description, British Sign Language interpreted, captioned and relaxed and dementia friendly shows.

The Wolsey will also offer a number of live-streamed performance options and pre-show touch tours during the run.
Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Saturday 1st April, with members having access to priority booking from Saturday 25th March.
