The organisers of the biggest music festival in Ipswich have announced a raft of new acts for their 2023 event.
Brighten The Corners Festival, formerly known as the Sound City Ipswich Festival, will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 9 and 10, in five venues located in Ipswich town centre.
Leading the new wave of additions to their inclusive and exciting lineup are headliners, cult Brighton indie-pop heroes The Go! Team, established London icons Gengahr, and punk rabble-rousers Pulled Apart By Horses.
Alongside them are influential UK hip-hop rapper Jehst, sun-warped psychedelic multi-instrumentalists Triptides, exciting and provocative new act Nuha Ruby Ra, and alternative rap sister-duo ALT BLK ERA.
The artists join the already announced 86TVs, the new project from The Maccebees’ Felix and Hugo White, and The Lounge Society, Rozi Plain, deathcrash, Coops, Moreish Idols, Kyoto Kyoto, alongside a selection of the finest talent in emerging music.
The festival's late-night electronic programme and in-conversations will be announced in the coming weeks.
A crucial part of Brighten The Corners is the discovery of exciting new talent, and the event is proud to be linking with BBC Introducing in Suffolk and Access Creative College to choose the multiple Apply To Play winners.
