This new festival was created by the minds behind two Ipswich music venues, The Smokehouse and The Baths, which has recently undergone a refurbishment.
A crucial part of Brighten The Corners is the discovery of new up-and-coming talent in the area.
They have also linked up with BBC Introducing in Suffolk and Access Creative College to choose the Apply to Play winners.
CEO of Brighten The Corners, Joe Bailey, said: "We are excited to bring our new festival brand and name to Ipswich for 2023.
"Sound City Ipswich 2019 and 2021 were really special events and it was amazing to see how the town embraced the multi-venue concept.
"We are proud to be working as an independent festival further shining the spotlight on our fantastic town."
The festival will be held on June 9 and 10, and weekend tickets are now on sale for Brighten The Corners Festival, and applicants can apply here.
The deadline for applicants is Tuesday, April 4 and 5, with solo artists, duos and full bands invited to apply, with limited slots available.
