Plans for 147 new homes, parking and facilities are due to be discussed by Ipswich Borough Council this week.
The application is part of phase two of the Henley Gate development, which comprises of 1,100 homes, a community centre, sports facilities and a primary school
The project was granted permission in 2020.
The huge development, which is located on the northern fringes of Ipswich, will also see the creation of a country park - providing a new natural space for residents.
Developers Barratt Homes has now submitted a reserved matter application to build 147 homes on the site, which includes five flats over garages and six two-bedroom apartments - with the rest made up of houses of various sizes.
Most of the new builds will be three beds houses, with 67 of the proposed 147 that size.
The homes will be designed in line with the 'fabric first' approach involving maximising the performance of the building fabric to reduce running costs for homeowners, improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emission.
The reserved matters application will be discussed by Ipswich Borough Council on Wednesday, March 8.
