A large police cordon has been put in place in Ipswich town centre.
The cordon was put in place in St Stephen's Church Lane near the Buttermarket shopping centre on Thursday.
The pathway has been closed off to members of the public.
UPDATE: Police investigating sexual assault of teenage girl
An appliance from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service is also at the scene.
It is not yet clear why the cordon has been put in place.
Suffolk police has been approached for comment.
The incident comes after another police cordon was put in place in Lindbergh Road in Ipswich on Wednesday afternoon.
