A Suffolk man is to walk a "strenuous and continuous" 135 miles along the East Anglian coastline.
Ricky Clarke from Ipswich will be starting his energy-sapping challenge on April 29, walking along the Norfolk and Suffolk coastline.
He will set off from Hunstanton in northwest Norfolk, before finishing in Felixstowe.
Mr Clarke expects the journey to take around a week, with a target of 25 to 30 miles a day.
Mr Clarke who is dad to Poppy, 14, and Luna, 11, said: "I am buzzing for it and can't wait to get started.
"I walk and hike a lot of miles throughout the year, but have never attempted anything so strenuous and continuous.
"It's going to be an adventure and I love being at one with nature.
"I find it so uplifting and that's one of the reasons I love hiking."
Mr Clarke will be raising money for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH) by undertaking this challenge.
He said: "I wanted to give myself something to look forward to and now it's full steam ahead.
"It's great to give your mind a focus and your soul a boost.
"Speaking to the team there amplified those feelings."
