An Ipswich-based charity has reopened a tearoom at a pub in the town due to popular demand as the organisation celebrates its seventh anniversary at the site.
Emmas Suffolk, which aims to tackle homelessness, has reopened the coffee shop inside the former Dales pub in Dales Road, which has been home to a charity shop since 2016.
The tearoom was shut during the Covid lockdowns and has not reopened since.
Emmaus Suffolk confirmed it will be back open on Wednesday, with free cake on offer for visitors between the opening hours of 10am and 3pm.
The charity has transformed the Dales pub from a run-down space to a social enterprise and retail store that sells second-hand goods.
Claire Staddon, chief executive of Emmaus Suffolk, said: "It’s been a wonderful seven years at Emmaus, we have achieved so much.
"I am proud of the amazing team for everything they pour into the charity and all their enthusiasm.
"I hope that the next seven years see us closer to ending homelessness and continuing to reduce the amount of deprivation in Suffolk."
