A popular bar on Ipswich Waterfront has been forced to close after just six months following repossession by the building's landlord.
A notice appeared on Oasis Bar and Lounge on January 23 claiming locks have been changed "following forfeiture of the lease by peaceable entry".
It added: "Any attempt to enter the premises is prohibited without the written permission of the landlord or its solicitor's agents."
The Mediterranean restaurant opened in August 2022 following an extensive licensing battle with nearby residents.
Oasis Lounge was refused a licence to sell alcohol three times after concerns were raised by residents and the police about potential disturbances.
As a result, the restaurant chose to open with no booze on the menu.
Its closure marks the latest Ipswich establishment to shut its doors this year - with popular St Nicholas Street venues La Cueva and K Bar and Grill closing in early January.
The owners of Oasis Bar and Lounge have been contacted for comment.
