The trial of a 24-year-old Ipswich man accused of attempting to rape a woman and a 17-year-old girl will take place in October.
Before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday ( January 16) for a plea and trial preparation hearing via a prison video link was Adiley Pires of Kensington Road, Ipswich.
He pleaded not guilty to sexually assaulting and attempting to rape one of the alleged victims on October 17 2021 and not guilty to attempted rape and an offence of assault by beating in relation to the other alleged victim who is 17.
Pires’ trial, which is expected to last ten days, will get underway on October 16 this year.
Judge Emma Peters adjourned the case until February 20 for a further case management hearing and remanded Pires in custody.
