Another Ipswich restaurant has announced it will be closing its doors after just eight months of trading - making it the third town venue to shut in 2023.
Owners of the family-run Venezuelan Traditional Food, in Wherstead Road, said they made the difficult decision following a drop in customers and rising bills.
"It is with great sadness that we are announcing that our Restaurant and Bar will be closing," said Diego Andres Sanches Gonzalez.
"We're very disappointed to be closing after only eight months.
"Rising bills have certainly not helped, but the main issue is that people have been spending less.
"This can probably be attributed to the cost of living crisis, but the patrons just aren't there."
The venue was opened in early June by Diego and his uncle Dimas Angel Gonzalez Villacreces.
It served breakfasts, lunches and dinners at the restaurant and via delivery, while also providing guests with entertainment.
During trading, the restaurant received positive reviews both online and in-person.
"We have had some great experiences over the last eight months," said the owners.
"Thank you for all the support of our family, friends and local community in this venture. We have loved bringing you a taste of Venezuela. Gracias para todo!"
The restaurant will remain open 12pm to 10pm on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until the end of January.
Sunday 29th will be Venezuelan Traditional Food's last day.
"If you haven't had an opportunity yet please do come in for an empanada or dos," Diego added.
"We will still have the space available for private events and bookings, so do get in touch if you wish to hire.
"We hope the community may still want to visit on one of our last weekends if they haven’t had an opportunity yet to come in."
The restaurant is the latest venue to close in Ipswich, with La Cueva and K Bar and Grill announcing they would cease trading in early January as a result of soaring utility bills and a drop in footfall.
