An Ipswich smokehouse's cheeseburger is in the running to be named the UK's best at an awards ceremony next month.
The Forge Kitchen's Bertram's Brisket has been named as one of 16 finalists in the National Burger Awards 2023.
Chefs from restaurants that have been nominated will take part in a live cook-off at Islington Electrowerkz in London on February 22.
The Forge Kitchen, in Duke Street near the Waterfront, will be up against two-time champion El Perro Negro, which has restuarants in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Bertram's Brisket contains two smashed beef patties, American cheese, smoked brisket, smoked back bacon, American mustard and pickled onions in a sesame seed bun.
The Forge Kitchen has received recongition in recent months, being named as one of the Ipswich eateries included in Tripadvisor's Travellers' Choice Awards for 2022.
