An Ipswich teenager has been charged after a street fight in Norwich.
The incident happened in Prince of Wales Road on Sunday, September 11 at about 2am.
Police were called to reports of a group of men fighting in the street.
As officers and door staff worked to disperse the fight, three door staff and two police officers were assaulted.
Four men were arrested at the scene and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and were bailed whilst further inquiries were made.
Alfie Hammett, aged 18 and of Larkhill Rise, Ipswich has now been charged with two counts of assault of an emergency worker, one count of grievous bodily harm and one count of affray.
The following men have also been charged with affray:
- Manley Vidal, aged 31 and of Recorder Road, Norwich
- Oliver Systern, aged 22 and of Wilberforce Road, Norwich
- Jorone Johnston, aged 36 and of Hall Road, Norwich
They have all since been bailed with conditions and are due to appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.
