A 50-year-old man from Ipswich has been charged after a Just Stop Oil protest held up traffic on the M25 this week.
David Mann, of Kerry Avenue, Ipswich, will appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday after being charged with conspiracy to cause a public nuisance.
Mann was charged over Thursday night by the Metropolitan Police.
Campaign group Just Stop Oil has coordinated protests on the M25 outside of London throughout the last week.
A number of activists climbed gantries over the motorway from Monday to Thursday, halting traffic for several hours on each day as the road was forced to be closed.
Just Stop Oil said its campaign of civil resistance had been halted on Friday.
Charlotte Kirin, of Peckham Street, Bury St Edmunds, was charged with intentionally recklessly causing a public nuisance by Essex Police after a protest at the Dartford Tunnel of the M25 on Tuesday.
The 53-year-old appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court the following day.
