Whether you like a Margherita or something more adventurous, Ipswich has plenty of places to grab a great slice of pizza.
We asked readers of the Ipswich Star for their favourite restaurants serving the Italian classic.
Here are seven of the best eateries they chose.
Gandhi Pizza
It may only have been open a few weeks, but Gandhi Pizza in St Peter's Street has attracted a fair few fans already.
The restaurant saw lengthy queues form outside on its opening night as the owners handed out dozens of free pizzas.
Storico
Storico is another fairly new pizza restaurant, having only opened in Northgate Street in December 2021.
Owner Malik Kantar says his pizzas are all wood-fired – the "proper way" to make them.
Bella Napoli
Long-running restaurant chain Bella Napoli has been a favourite in Ipswich for 20 years, and a number of readers believe it is the town's best pizza joint.
There are Bella Napoli restaurants in Pownall Road, Woodbridge Road and Queen Street.
DoughBoi's Pizza
Based off Hadleigh Road, DoughBoi's launched in the summer of 2021 and has proved a hit with pizza fans.
DoughBoi's delivers across Ipswich and has a high rating on sites such as Just Eat.
Dough & Co
Fronted by Bury St Edmunds entrepreneur and ex-chef Chris Sharman, Dough & Co has been expanding across Suffolk and Essex over recent years.
The Ipswich branch in Cardinal Park opened in June last year.
Fireaway
Another rapidly-expanding chain, Fireaway's Ipswich restaurant and takeaway opened a few weeks after Dough & Co in June 2021.
All pizzas are baked for no more than three minutes in the 400C oven.
Zia Marita's Pizzeria
Hosted by The Woolpack pub outside Christchurch Park, Zia Marita's is open on Friday and Saturday evenings.
It was nominated by several of our readers as the best pizza place in Ipswich.
