ANIMAL lovers in Ipswich have been joined by their canine pals for a festive event filled with fun and games.
A dog show, visit from Father Christmas and a game of musical sits, were among the activities taking place at the Bearded Collie Christmas Party at the weekend.
About 40 people and 25 dogs were at the event which was organised by the East Anglian and South East branch of the Bearded Collie Club – other breeds of dog were also enjoying the event as well.
Shirley HInchliffe, secretary of the branch, said: “We had a good turn out and everyone really enjoyed it – we were pleased it went so well.”
Michael Cooper, 65, was one of the people who attended the event at Whitton Church Hall with his dog Max – a sprocker.
Michael said: “When you get that amount of dogs in one room you could be forgiven for expecting there might be some problems but they were just so beautifully behaved.
“It was a lovely day for everyone involved and it was a pleasure to be invited in.”
