Daniel O’Donnell superfans queued up at the Regent Theatre in Ipswich this morning to grab a ticket to see their idol - some getting there as soon as 5am to secure a seat near the front.
The Irish crooner is set to grace the stage of the Regent on April 25 next year with tickets going on sale at 10am this morning.
More than 40 fans turned up early to make sure they got the best seats in the house.
Martina Blake, from Ipswich, left home at 4.30am to get in line for her tickets.
“I want to get as far to the front as possible”, she said, “I just love him.”
“He is so easy-going and his shows are absolutely brilliant.
“I’ve lost count of the times I have seen him - I have been following him since 1994 so it must be over 50.”
Lynda Sharp, from Witham in Essex, claimed a spot in the queue at 6.10am this morning.
She said she last saw Daniel perform at the Theatre Royal in Norwich - on Wednesday.
“He is a nice guy and so genuine, she said, “I’ve followed him for 25 years.”
“I’ve been to see him in Croydon, Brighton, Norwich.
“My husband said he would drive me within two hours of a show. I took him up as soon as he said it.”
Christine Thompson, from Tivetshall near Diss, said she had even travelled to Ireland once to see him perform.
“I got here at 7am,” she said. “We are very loyal fans.
“He is just such a nice person, I like his singing and his work for charities.
“We went to Ireland to see him in Donegal - it was lovely there, really lovely.”
