A blaze broke out at a popular town centre sandwich shop last night.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it was called to the Subway outlet in Carr Street, Ipswich, at around 11pm.
In a tweet about the incident, SFRS said five engines and the aerial ladder platform had been called to tackle the blaze.
“There are no reports of any injuries,” a spokesman added.
The fire was reported to be under control by 11.45pm.
A picture of the scene this morning showed the shop boarded up.
We have attempted to contact Subway for confirmation on when the restaurant is likely to reopen.
