In 1996, Town legend John Wark was honoured with a testimonial match at Portman Road in 1996 as an Ipswich Town XI took on Arsenal with the game ending in a 1-1 draw.
Pictures were captured on the day as fans salute one of the greatest Ipswich Town players of all time as he was honoured with a testimonial game for his service for the club.
He made over 650 appearances and scored 170 plus goals during his three seperate spells at Portman Road, where he helped the Blues win the FA Cup in 1978, UEFA Cup in 1981, before helping Town win the Second Division title in the 1991-92 season.
Wark who won 29 caps for Scotland at internationl level, also played for Liverpool and Middlesbrough during his 22 year football career.
