A man from Ipswich has spoken about the dramatic moment a tree fell onto his two cars just minutes after he left the driveway.
John Dodds, 34, who lives in Nacton Road, had just stepped back inside his house with his baby son Joseph when he heard a big smash.
Mr Dodds, who has only lived in the property since December 2019, said: "I had a look and there was a tree on top of both of my cars and almost on my house.
"I was running around everywhere to make sure there was no damage to the house.
"My baby was crying and it was just horrendous.
"If I was just a few minutes later getting back home it could of trapped me and my son or seriously injured us.
"Joseph has been really clingy since it happened which isn't like him."
As well as the shock the incident has caused, there has been significant damage to the Audi and Vauxhall Zafira belonging to Mr Dodds and his partner.
Though the cars are both insured, Mr Dodds works at Ransomes Europark, said he is not sure if or when they will be on the road again. He is concerned about how his partner will make it to work in the coming days.

As soon as Mr Dodds realised what happened, at 9.30am this morning, he called the police who immediately cordoned off the tree.
He has since been told by Suffolk Highways that it may be two days until the tree is removed as it is not blocking a road.
However, Ipswich Borough Council teams have now volunteered to move the tree because of its prominent position.
They are coming from across Suffolk to do so, a spokesman said.
He added: "Our emergency team volunteered to come out and chop this tree because of the prominent position it was in, we will be there as soon as we can."
Since it fell the tree has been attracting a lot of attention from passers by and Mr Dodds is concerned that drivers are being distracted.
He said: "We are watching people taking their hands off the steering wheel to take photos."
Emily Andrews, who saw the damage at around 10.30am this morning, said: " The silver cars (Vauxhall Zafira) roof is completely dented and the windscreen is smashed, the Audi looked like it got off lightly.
"The whole tree is right up to their front door."
Throughout the day there have been widespread reports of trees falling down and other damage around Ipswich and Kesgrave.
This morning a tree blocked the main road in Kesgrave which caused disruption until it was cleared by police.
