A new supermarket on Norwich Road has applied to sell alcohol to be consumed off its premises.
Foodtwist Stores recently opened up on Norwich Road, and have now submitted an application for an alcohol licence to Ipswich Borough Council.
If approved the store will be selling alcohol between Monday to Sunday between 10am and 8.30pm.
Prior to being a supermarket, the site was occupied by a clothing shop called Thee Charnel House.
It is the latest establishment in the town to have applied for a licence selling alcohol at this time following Ipswich and Suffolk Club, The Station Hotel and The Halberd.
However, the licences for those were granted for days when Ipswich Town are playing at Portman Road only, not every day.
Residents can make representations to the council until Thursday, December 5, about the application.
