Plans have been submitted to convert a floor above a former beauty salon into a two-bedroom flat.
Wickham Market-based applicant Riduna Holdings Ltd has submitted plans to Ipswich Borough Council to make changes to a property on Tacket Street.
The property used to be a beauty salon called Spirit and Skin, which was run by Ipswich mum Sam Pollock and her business partner Nick Saint.
However, the salon relocated to Old Foundry Road last year.
The applicants want to convert the top floor into a two-bedroom flat and retain the ground floor as a commercial property.
To make this possible they have proposed that the flat will use an existing external staircase on Wingfield Street, along with making a new doorway on the first floor.
This is similar to the flat above the adjacent Primo Hair Longue on Tacket Street.
Before Spirit and Skin moved into the property in 2021, it was home to Bodylines Beauty Salon, which has since moved to Suffolk Food Hall after the owners wanted to move out of Ipswich town centre.
