Ipswich pensioner, Brian Rice, has an impressive head of hair at 82.
But he won't have for much longer.
Brian has decided to get it all cut off in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice.
The haircut will take place at Moments Cafe, Heath Road, on Saturday June 22 where a bit of a party will be taking place with music from Brian's friends, Jane and Julie, between 1pm-3pm.
The 'big haircut' will be at 2pm.
"I'm not sure quite what I'm having done," said Brian. "A number two has been mentioned but I'm not entirely sure what that means."
He has been growing his hair for a long time 'as a sort of bet', having told friends he was going to 'phase out haircuts.'
"No one believed me," he said, " But I've got quite a lot of hair now, especially for someone of my age. I wondered what to do with it and then I thought of doing this."
Having known 'several friends' who have used the services of St Elizabeth Hospice, Brian decided he wanted to use the hair to raise money for them.
He has raised £311 so far.
