An Ipswich woman has been fined and told to pay costs after exceeding a 20mph speed limit in a BMW in east London.
Clare Emeny, aged 38 and of Stratford Road in the Suffolk town, was accused of driving over the speed limit on the A10 Kingsland Road in Hackney, London, on September 18 last year.
The limit on the road is 20mph and it was alleged that Emeny was recorded driving at a speed of 26mph.
She plead guilty to the charge which was dealt with via single justice procedure at Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court on April 8.
The single justice procedure is used to deal with more minor cases that are not heard before a crown court.
The defendant was ordered to pay a total of £304, made up of a £153 fine, surcharge of £61 and costs of £90.
Her driving record was also endorsed with three points.
